We had been to a well known kitchen supplier who designed a new kichen for us, but something didnt sit right with us.

A friend recomnended Applewood® to us, so we went armed with the designs we had been given.

Scott took one look at them & said the only place for them was the bin.

He then patiently and expertly designed a new one, which was perfect.

We didnt have a clue about units, appliances and flooring, but with Scott's advice & guidence we made our selection.

On day one Stuart amazed us with his speedy dismantling of our old kitchen and prep work.

Then Bradley came on the 3rd day to do the plastering which made the room look totally different - the walls were in a poor state.

Mark was our fitter and he transformed the empty shell into this beautiful space. He was thorough, patient and very professional.

We were overwhelmed and completely in love with our new kitchen.

The Parkdean flooring by Tyne of Sandhurst matched perfectly, just as Scott said it would.

I thought you would like to see photos of the finished project.

I’ve just got to sort out the final layout and blinds but I wanted to email and say I am absolutely over the moon I am with my new kitchen. It’s been a long haul with walls knocked down and doors blocked off, windows replaced and bifold doors fitted but it has been worth all of the upheaval. We have definitely achieved the wow factor!

I want to say a big thank you to the entire team.

Scott designed the kitchen with just a basic idea from me. I was unsure about which appliances to have and the layout so l left it all to Scott. I can only say that the result is amazing. I have so much space and everything works perfectly. It’s a joy to work in and his vision has created a beautiful big family space. Stuart was our builder. He is such a hard worker. The layout changes were completed with help from Dave and the bricklayer in just 4 days. They cleared up every evening and were a pleasure to have around.

Even my dogs liked them!

Our fitters were Matt and Martin and again their work was faultless. Barry did all electrics to a very high standard and we were so pleased that we asked him back to do more work for us.

The final touches were windows from Paul at Bracknell Windows and new flooring throughout by Lewis from Creative Flooring in Crowthorne.

I would highly recommend everyone.

Scott and Sarah were absolutely brilliant when the dog damaged an end panel a couple of days before the floor was going down.

We had been considering a new kitchen for a while and had not come up with the design that you instantly suggested and which we subsequently went with. My husband, being one to appreciate the technical side of things, is still now saying "ah, that's why he put this here".

Being a little indecisive I also appreciated the assistance with decision making. I was happy to leave a lot of decisions in your hands and you were right. The work surfaces you chose work perfectly. I would still have been contemplating the hundreds of options available now if you hadn't stepped in.

Installation - what can I say. The whole team were great, but Matt - we love Matt and I still love my tiny little cupboard that he made for me which wasn't on the plan. He was a pleasure to have in the house.

We just wanted to take the time to say thank you for our new kitchen and utility – we love it! The entire process from design through to installation has been very slick (despite covid). The team has been extremely efficient, working tirelessly to complete tasks quickly yet still maintaining high standards. All quotes were provided in a timely manner and there were no unexpected extras added on.

Specifically.

• Zoran listened carefully to our requirements and responded well to our feedback. We had previously been to 3 different kitchen companies but none had them had delivered a design we were 100% happy with but Zoran nailed it. He was fastidious in his work, spending over 3hrs with us on his initial visit to ensure that absolutely every potential measurement was captured.

• Sarah provided very clear communications around the end to end timescales, which enabled us to plan accordingly. A big plus for us in choosing Applewood was the coordination amongst the team despite the number of different trades involved and you didn’t disappoint.

• Tony provided surveying services and while on site was able to tweak the utility design slightly to maximise use of the space even further with the addition of a slim line cupboard in the space next to the washing machine.

• Stuart and Dave worked like trojans in extreme weather conditions to remove our old kitchen and utility and complete the necessary building works in preparation for the refit. This included knocking down walls, putting up new ones and moving windows. I was particularly impressed with their work ethic and understanding of the need for a sink and washing machine in a busy household! I think I was without either for no more than 48hrs throughout the entire process. Equally, Stuart was especially accommodating when I requested new additional requirements (new radiators and additional plastering activity etc.) thereby extending his remit.

• New bi-fold windows were provided by Paul & Michelle from Bracknell Windows. I can’t fault their after-care service.

• Matt completed the installation of the kitchen and Utility in super speed and ensured that we were consulted throughout the process regarding any decisions that needed to be made. He was also very helpful by providing input, where requested, based on his own expertise. All rubbish was regularly tidied and removed from site by Michael.

• Barry worked well with Stuart to install all new electrics, and even recommended improvements to the existing lighting solution in the utility room, even though this meant additional work for him and the team.

• Robin installed a new boiler while also moving the location from the kitchen to the utility. This was particularly arduous due to some interesting and rather unexpected plumbing undertaken by the previous occupants, but Robin completed the activity without complaint!

• Tyne flooring undertook installation of Karndean throughout most of our ground floor.

• Bradley did an amazing job of decorating and even went out of his way to follow up directly with Dulux after some issues with the paint colour Meanwhile, any questions or concerns we raised were dealt with promptly by yourselves ensuring high customer service throughout. Overall, as a team, you delivered the scope, on time and in budget. Therefore, I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Applewood Kitchens to anyone considering your services.

I only wish you did bathrooms too!

"We are having a major house extension and were lucky enough to commission Scott and his team to design and install our fully fitted kitchen. Scott came recommended to us by a close friend. We were originally looking at the usual high street suppliers but felt frustrated because the designs suggested and indeed the service was a bit hit or miss and never really hit the spot.

The initial plan was to ask Scott to help us design the layout of the kitchen and then go back to the high-street suppliers for the units and appliances as his installations were high-end and slightly out of our budget range. It was clear from the outset that Scott knew his stuff – full of great ideas, and totally professional in his approach. In the end we decided to go for the lot - yes, it was slightly more than we had originally planned but totally the right decision in terms of value for money and peace of mind.

His planning and installation team were first class – a special shout must go to Matt the fitter, who was second-to-none and a total gent. They were professional, reliable (which is always a good start in the building trade), flexible with ideas and great at their respective trades. When one of the originally selected appliances did not arrive, they immediately upgraded us and thankfully did not provide us with excuses as to why it was everyone else’s fault but theirs.

They were tremendous from start to finish and we cannot thank them enough for making the whole experience a pleasurable one. We are so pleased with the result. I would highly recommend them – you will not be disappointed."

I first met Scott 2 months ago when I was looking to upgrade my kitchen. I had seen Applewood® advertised and thought I would give them a go. From the moment I walked into the showroom, to the point where my kitchen was completed, I have one man to thank for it all going to plan. That man is Scott.

Scott knows what a stunning kitchen looks like and he helped me all the way to realise the kitchen I had always wanted. The colour scheme Scott suggested is simply beautiful, and despite my indecision, Scott was patient throughout.

We planned to have new kitchen and had acquired three quotations from local businesses. We were impressed by the Applewood® design and assurances by Scott that the installation team would provide an exemplary service, Scots advice and attention was very impressive. On reflection, we can absolutely attest that they were as good as their word.

Unfortunately for us the install coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic/lockdown. Applewood® made sure that we had an up and running temporary kitchen installed during the lockdown period and also kept in constant contact to update us on the situation. As soon as lockdown was eased the work started again. The team have been fantastic, and nothing has been too much trouble.

Dear Sarah,

Work was completed recently on my new kitchen with which I am thrilled! I was a nervous customer to begin, never having started a kitchen from scratch and the previous one having been in the house for at least 25 years!

Beginning at the beginning, Ian was more than patient with me and went through each stage of the process, answering all my somewhat trivial questions with patience, courtesy and clarity, for which I am most grateful. I also appreciated the schedule of works which was adhered to completely.

Stuart arrived, and in what seemed no time, the kitchen was bare, then plastered, and the radiator, which he very kindly sourced for me, installed. Being an older house, the walls are not in the best condition, nor straight! None of this proved a problem, Stuart remedying any anomalies. Barry, the electrician was also in attendance and, in fact, is coming back next week to fix my TV onto the wall and hang the pendant light. Much appreciated.

The star of the show, Dave, couldn’t have been more helpful or charming. A carpenter friend commented that whoever had done the work knew what he was doing and was a “perfectionist” – particularly in the awkward area beneath the sink. Dave’s hard and non stop work is to be highly commended and recommended! He went out of his way to make sure everything was exactly right and took time to answer my questions. It is, to a large extent, thanks to Dave, that the kitchen looks as good as it does.

Mention must also be made of Michael who delivered and cleared things from my driveway, with the minimum of fuss. He also sourced a spare part for my dish washer. Thanks to him, also.

Bradley arrived to bring everything together. Meticulous in his work, his paintwork is second to none. Fantastic finish given some of my wonkier walls! He didn’t stop for lunch but appreciated the odd biscuit! His superior work has, of course, shown up the rest of my house!

I should also add that Tyne Carpets were most helpful and very kindly gave me several samples as I was (not surprisingly!) unable to make up my mind. Again, I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Regarding the stonework, Raj and his team were equally professional and the end result is better than I had hoped.

The whole “team” work extremely well together and this, in turn, gives the customer great confidence. It therefore goes without saying that I am more than happy with my new kitchen and would have no hesitation in recommending Applewood and all those involved in the process.

From concept to completion the service provided was excellent and ran like clockwork, including design, ordering and administration.

The products offered were of a high standard and we are extremely happy with them.

Stuart had the dirty job of stripping out the old kitchen and utility room, and kept disturbance to a minimum.

He completed all the removal, new plastering and electrics on schedule which meant Andy, the fitter, could start on time.

Andy, too, worked again causing minimum disruption and the fitting plumbing and fixings were all ready for the worktop installations as scheduled.

The few days between both the stripping and between the fitting enabled us to decorate the ceilings and walls so no mess was incurred on the new units.

Work tops were measured on time and were fitted on schedule with little or no damage to the new decorations.

We want to write to express just how thrilled we are with our new kitchen. We love it! It has transformed our day-to-day living in so many ways, from the spacious feel it now gives off, to the clean, uncluttered look, the ease of storing items within the wonderful big drawers and tall fridge and freezer, as well as the overall wow factor that it has achieved! So many places we went to get quotes from told us that our old kitchen and dining room were awkward spaces and listed the things that wouldn’t work. It was refreshing, reassuring and exciting when Scott was adamant that he could provide us with a fantastic kitchen. His passion and insight were second to none and he was extremely patient with all our questions, delays and little changes that we made over time.

Sarah kept us well informed at each stage, breaking all the information down into what was going to happen next and what we needed to do. This really gave us the impression it was all under control and organised - just what we needed!

Stuart and the building team were equally efficient and dedicated. We couldn’t believe they had knocked the entire 2 rooms down by the end of the first day! Punctual, hard-working and trustworthy with a sense of humor to boot. Very impressive.

Barrie carried out all the electrical work in minimum time and to a high standard, scheduling his timings exactly to fit in with all the building work, and was a pleasure to have around.

Tyne Flooring were happy to liaise with Applewood® re timings so that worked well too.

Andy W did a great job on his own fitting the entire kitchen, concentrating on each tiny detail, taking pride in his work. Again, friendly, hard-working and trustworthy, and very easy to work with.

Express Stone fitted the quartz immaculately; it was only their punctuality that was lacking.

Bradley came in to finish off and paint and was another good recommendation.

All in all, considering such upheaval in the hub of the house, the transformation was ‘painless’ and much easier than we had imagined, and this was down to the efficiency, planning and organization of Applewood. The communication and relationships between the different parties meant that there were no wasted days; it was seamless.

We have already recommended Applewood Kitchens® to numerous people and will continue to do so!

Dear John.

Now that our kitchen is completely finished, decorators and all, we need to say how delighted we are with every aspect of it. Your design has given everything you promised and more. It is proving very practical, with a place for everything, but is also a pleasure to look at and in which to work. We love the choices we made and are so pleased you had the display for us to see in your showroom. It was so much easier to picture as a whole than from small swatches of colour - in fact, I don't think we would have considered the combination without the display.

Adam and his crew did a great job clearing the old kitchen and preparing for the new and were always helpful and able to make suggestions to alleviate the unavoidable problems for us. Matt and his assistant were equally good and both sets made real efforts to clean up after themselves each night. Between them, they minimised the expected stress and mess and the final result was a credit to them all.

Once again, thank you for all the work you put into the planning and design, for considering our requirements carefully, and for all the extra little cupboards etc that have proved so useful and dealt with the difficult bits of wall in the wrong places. The care and thought you put into the design and the quality of the units and workmanship have given us a wonderful kitchen - Thank you.

Buying a new kitchen is daunting, expensive and inconvenient during the install. But the team at Applewood® have genuinely made the process as pain free as possible.

We had met with numerous builders and kitchen companies and no one had given us the confidence to move forward until we met Scott. His enthusiasm and passion for design gave us the confidence to knock a wall down and open up the ground floor. The result is stunning, it’s now a very light and sociable space and has far more storage than we anticipated, as well as looking the part. The appliances are a dream to use and the combination of hot tap and induction hob means we can have dinner on the table within minutes of walking in the door (and cups of tea on demand).

Stuart and his team were fantastic. Fast hard working and very tidy. Andy the fitter was a true craftsman and happy to explain various options with insightful recommendations. Tyne flooring integrated with Applewood® seamlessly to fit the wooden floors which look beautiful, and the fitter put in a serious graft to fit the double herringbone which we think looks ace! Finally, Bradley decorated with meticulous attention to detail and even cleaned up the whole house before he left.

We’ve taken a little while to write this review to ensure we’ve lived in the kitchen for a while, and it has only gotten better with time! Since the install we’ve had a couple of minor snags which the team came and fixed within a day, for free.

We are over the moon with the work and very grateful to the whole team at Applewood® + co for achieving our dream. Cannot recommend highly enough.

If only Applewood® had organized Brexit instead of our politicians, we’d be home and dry by now AND everyone would be happy!

Right from the initial contact with Applewood®, we found them to be friendly and cooperative. Everything was planned like a military operation. The specification for the new kitchen was nicely detailed, everything was completely clear. Once the order was placed, the timetable was communicated in the form of a written schedule. Everything happened like clockwork. The various teams turned up exactly as per specification and carried out the tasks totally satisfactorily. On no occasion was there any reason for query or complaint. And the co-workers were always cheerful and polite.

The furniture was delivered and installed as specified. The work was immaculate with the result was that the kitchen, too, is immaculate. The superb quality of the cabinets and the finishing cannot be faulted.

Following my decision to use Applewood Kitchens® to supply and fit my new Kitchen I feel compelled to write a review as the whole experience from the outset to completion was outstanding!

From the initial enquiry Scott could not do enough to help and demonstrated integrity and honesty as he explained the options without once trying to push any decision, rather he made recommendations and discussed the pros and cons of all the alternatives from the unit design, type of worktop and the utilities such as Ovens, Hobs etc....

Scott was also able to advise on the building work that I required including the removal of a wall in order to make the space bigger.

Once I had decided and made the commitment the whole project was explained in detail and dates for the work were committed and documented so I knew exactly what to expect and when.

As for the work itself, everyone concerned, from the builder who took out the wall and re-plastered the walls to the kitchen fitter and electrician were all superb!.

They were never late and whilst working in the house were polite and conscientious and they kept everything clean and tidy even when they were knocking down walls and plastering, before they left each day they cleaned up and left the workspace tidy.

Scott even upgraded one or two elements of the kitchen components completely free of charge after I decided to opt for a bigger hob and add a radiator mid job !

I am normally hard to please and have never written a recommendation before but the whole experience I received from Applewood Kitchens® was amazing and I would recommend them to anyone considering upgrading their Kitchen!

Dear John and the rest of the team at Applewood®,

I do not know how to put into words how much we love our new kitchen! I smile and my heart misses a beat every time I walk into it.... and friends and family are in awe!

For several years I would occasionally pop into your showroom at Moss End, and no matter where else I looked I would always came back to one particular unit in your showroom. I was relieved when I finally brought my husband in to have a look that he identified the same units I loved.... so the job was easy in that we both knew exactly what we wanted.

We have had to wait many years before changing our 24-year-old kitchen. For the past 7 years our son used the dining room as his study, and so we decided to wait until A levels were over this summer before work commenced in July to remove the wall between the kitchen and dining room. The oven door no longer closed, the cupboard doors were hanging off, and the utility room was not functional (as John said to me when he first came to see the kitchen, the utility was a cupboard, not a room).

John knew straight away that we had a kitchen (albeit large) with virtually no worktop space and that worktop space and storage was our priority. And has he delivered! We have the kitchen/diner of our dreams, and will never be able to thank him enough for making our vision a reality.

Our experience with Applewood® has been second to none, from John (who designed it), to the staff in the office (who made it all run like clockwork and were supportive every time I would make a call and pop in to see them), to Andy (amazing fitter), Dan (tiler) and Scott (who with John kept me sane when we had quite a hiccough with the build which pushed the work back a week). Every member of the team we came across was truly professional, dedicated and hard working.

We are absolutely over the moon with it – it’s everything I hoped for and more.

I knew I wanted an Applewood Kitchen for 2 reasons … firstly because a very discerning friend highly recommended you and her kitchen is beautiful (although very different from mine), and secondly, because the moment I walked into your showroom, you seemed to know exactly what I wanted.

You took my ideas, gently pointed out where I was wrong (!) and designed the kitchen of my dreams. You were so patient through my endless tweaks and in particular my granite/quartz crisis. But it was worth taking time over all those decisions because everything – especially the granite – is absolutely perfect. In fact, I am never leaving this house unless I can take that granite with me!!! It’s so beautiful and it tones with everything. Aside from the granite, I absolutely love my hot tap … do people actually still have kettles?! And the little accent of Nautic Oak combined with Pergamon … I know that was my moment of genius, you may offer that combination to other customers with my compliments!

Your fitters were fast, professional and a pleasure to have around. Their attention to detail was amazing and that combined with the quality of everything they fit, makes for a truly stunning finish.

Finally, I must thank you again for lending us your own hob from your kitchen whilst ours came back into stock. If that doesn’t demonstrate 5* customer service, I don’t know what does.

• Stuart Dooney and Dave, our builders, provided a timely, efficient and professional service - we were particularly impressed with the plastering work on the ceiling and walls – the finish was excellent;

• Barrie Richardson, our electrician, was quick and precise – we are very pleased with our newly-wired kitchen and lovely new switches and ceiling spotlights;

• Andrew Wheeler, our kitchen installer, does really fine work and produced a beautifully-finished kitchen, (including a lovely job boxing in and disguising some existing boiler pipes);

• Dan Greenwood, our tiler, and his son, Elliot, produced a ceramic tiled floor of excellent quality – additionally, before installation, Dan communicated clearly about the initial preparation of the floor, so that we could all be happy with the finished product;

• Raj and his team at Express Stone did a superb job in fitting our lovely granite worktop. The service was excellent and the worktop was installed in an efficient and professional way, with great attention to detail.

The whole process was very impressive and carried out like a military operation. When something was planned for a Monday morning, it happened on Monday morning. When something was to be delivered or picked up, it was delivered or picked up on the promised date.

I can only apologise how late I am with this letter – I’d intended to write just after my kitchen was installed but summer holidays (and the children home!) came along and time has flown by.

I am so very happy with my new kitchen – from all those patient meetings you held with me as I just couldn’t make my mind up about anything to the final design which we fixed upon before my building work had even commenced. The whole service from Applewood has been superb and I just wanted to write and say a very big thank you to all those who were involved.

Rob Connolly fitted the kitchen for us and he was absolutely meticulous and stayed until the job was done to his satisfaction – nothing was too much for him and he made sure absolutely everything was fitted perfectly and functioning as it should.

Sarah Husband kept me informed as to the scheduling and answered any questions I had very promptly and courteously which made things very smooth.

I must mention as well, the truly lovely desk area you have created for me – it looks fantastic and everyone admires it almost as much as the kitchen itself.

Finally, I would also just like to tell you that your recommendation to use Tyne Carpets was superb- They matched a quote from a local supplier and came and levelled the floors before coming to fit the Amtico and their skill in sorting out the tiny differences caused by a slightly wonky wall were fabulous. The fitter worked in that very hot week we had and the screed dried very rapidly indeed but it was no trouble for him to stay a bit later and make sure it was all spot on.

So… all in all I have had a dream experience of having a new kitchen fitted. The help I had in choosing what I wanted was helpful but I never felt I was being sold at. The advice on cooker, hob and drinks fridge etc was also very helpful and I have ended up with a kitchen which is modern, sleek and eminently useable. I am very, very happy with it.
